PUBLISHING
submissions
MSJI publishes political writing that circulates Muslim thought for the current moment, and contributes to cultures of liberation.
We welcome original non-fiction manuscript submissions from writers, scholars, organisers and cultural workers both inside and outside formal academic institutions. Our publishing is committed to work that is politically clear, historically grounded and oriented towards struggle: anti-imperialism, anti-colonialism, abolition, collective care, Muslim life under empire, and liberation movements across the global south and beyond.
We are particularly interested in manuscripts that intervene in the present, preserve political memory, and help build intellectual and cultural infrastructure for our communities.
At this stage, we are primarily interested in:
non-fiction
essays, poetry, and political writing
testimony, witness, and memoir with a clear political frame
criticism, history, and movement-grounded analysis
We do not currently accept unsolicited fiction submissions.
